My name is So Young Park and I am a fifth year graduate student in the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University. I am currently working on my thesis that focuses on developing statistical methods for longitudinal functional data, under supervision of my advisor, Dr. Ana-Maria Staicu. In addition I am a member of health birth, growth and development knowlege integration (HBGDki) group at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundataion and am closely working with Dr. Luo Xiao on a project related to child growth.

My research interests include functional data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, nonparametric and semiparametric regression, visualization, quantile regression, and biomedical applications (child growth, neuroimaging, physical activity, etc.).
